A Day in the Life of a Jefferson Square Resident
You’ve got a full day off from working at Johns Hopkins and you’re ready to take advantage of what it means to live at Jefferson Square and near the most popular neighborhoods in Baltimore. There’s a lot to do in just ONE day, but we’re here to help. Here’s an in-depth itinerary of what a day in the life of a Jefferson Square resident (with a day off) could look like.
7 A.M. First step: wake up! Head downstairs to our lounge and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Starbucks, but take your time… you have a day off, remember?
9 A.M. Head into Fells Point and try Blue Moon Café’s famous Captain Crunch French Toast (as seen on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives). There’s really nothing else to say about this bad boy, just that you won’t regret it.
10 A.M. Okay, so maybe you are regretting inhaling that french toast as fast as you did, but we’ve got a solution for that. Walk off those calories and spend some time in Fells Point. There are some great shops (including a Natty Bo spot full of fun knickknacks to rep your city). If you’re exploring on a Saturday, you’ll likely run into the Fells Point Farmers Market. Grab some fresh fruits and veggies for a light lunch to make up for that excessive breakfast.
12:30 P.M. Head back to Jefferson Square for some quality relaxation time. What better way to do so than poolside? And if you forget your sunscreen, don’t worry. The CVS downstairs has you covered.
2:00 P.M. After you’ve spent some time lounging, hit the fitness center and do some cardio or strength training on our top-of-the-line equipment.
4:30 P.M. Grab an Uber and meet your friends at Blue Agave for happy hour (it’s only about a $9 ride)! Living near Federal Hill definitely has its perks… like $5 margaritas.
6:00 P.M. Next stop: Dinner in Canton. There’s no place to go to complete your day off in Baltimore other than Mama’s On the Half Shell to have what some may consider the BEST crab cakes and oyster shooters in the city. You can thank us for that recommendation later.
8:00 P.M. It’s time to start heading home, but the night doesn’t have to end yet! Invite your friends back to the Jefferson Square clubroom and play some games. You have your choice of darts, billiards, shuffleboard and more.
If you’re living near Johns Hopkins it’s likely because you’re working at the hospital and if you’re just coming off a long, three day shift, you may have the day off tomorrow, too. So continue to enjoy Baltimore; there’s a lot to do in this great city and if you need any recommendations, just ask our 24-hour concierge desk at Jefferson Square! (877) -960-2019
